Sometimes, unfortunate circumstances arise within a drainage system. Cracks, displacements, open joints or root ingress are just some examples of the issues that many people have with their drains. These examples can cause problems such as blocked drains, sewage build up and spillages, blocked toilets etc. If found in the early stages, these defects can be fixed via a no dig repairs procedure.
When conducting our no-dig repairs, we use the latest technology and equipment to re-line and repair cracked drainage pipes of all kinds without the need for excavation; saving up to 75% of the cost of a dig up repair!
A full CCTV drain survey will be required, identifying all defects in the drains, locating the cause of the defects and allowing us (the drainage engineers) to assess the best cause of action.
HOW DOES A NO DIG DRAIN REPAIR WORK?
The resin hardens into GRP (glass reinforced plastic), a very strong material of higher quality than the typical pipes it lines. The process is called inversion; using air to inflate the still liquid new pipe flush and firm to the old pipe where it bonds permanently in place after curing. The inflatable liner is a reusable system designed specifically for drain pipes and sized accordingly, ensuring an accurate finish every time, and allowing for different thicknesses of resin to be applied if required.
This type of repair can be of two categories; point to point repairs or full re-lining. A point to point repair, also known as a patch repair, is often the most cost effective method of the two repairs. This is where a small section of the pipe is repaired and given a new ‘skin’. This type of work comes with a 25 YEAR GUARANTEE!!! Pipe re-lining is where the entire stretch of pipe is re-lined and given a new, hardened layer to restore the entire pipe work. This type of work comes with a 10 YEAR GUARANTEE!!!
